The Ingham Infirmary and Newcastle Hospitals, talk by Professor Reg Hall
Professor Hall is a retired surgeon and cancer specialist, having worked in Newcastle and the Northern region for 33 years. Since his retirement he has helped to establish the cancer support charity, Cancer Connections, which is based in Harton Lane in South Tyneside.
His talk 'The Ingham Infirmary and the Newcastle Hospitals' will trace the development of hospitals and infirmaries in South Shields and Newcastle from the twelfth century to the present time.
The meeting will be held downstairs in the Central Library theatre from 5pm to 6.45pm and visitors are welcome with a charge of £1. The talk starts at 5.30pm. For further information please contact the Library Reference Section on 0191 424 7864.
