On Monday, October 21st South Shields Local History Group members are pleased to welcome Dave Profit as their guest speaker. Dave is passionate about the history of our town and especially any building of interest, particularly if it was once grand and is now sadly fading. In his talk Dave will take us back to the days when you could go to a different cinema every night of the week and their advertisements filled a ‘whole page’ in the Shields Gazette.

The meeting will take place at Cleadon Park Library at the Nook, upstairs in Room A, on between 5.15 and 6.45pm. It promises to be both an interesting and engaging meeting and visitors are very welcome to join us at a charge of £1.
