Members of South Shields Local History Group are hosting a very special event on Monday 10th June, at Cleadon Park Library, from 5.15pm – 6.45pm, when the newly published book “Westoe – A history of the Village and its residents’ by Dorothy Fleet, will be launched.

Jean Stokes will be hosting the event and there will be a ‘display’ featuring some of the photographs from the book.

Refreshments will be available and all are welcome. So, please ‘spread the word’ and come along with friends and family, to support this very special event.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to group funds.
